The 2017 Meursault Les Genevrières 1er Cru is neutral on the nose, sultry but not sullen, maintaining delineation and focus, with crushed stone and light smoky aromas developing over time; it does become a little reduced. The palate is well balanced with a salty, basalt-tinged entry. There is plenty of energy and superb acidity, leading to a vibrant, spicy, persistent finish. This fans out gloriously. Outstanding. Really enjoying Antoine's approach to winemaking style, the Rémi & Fils were solid, but a little to premox for my taste, amazing acidity, just the right amount of oak, can't imagine, but these can only get better.

Drank at Hotel les avize in champagne and was wonderful. Anyone going to champagne you have to stay at the hotel which is at property of Jacques Selosse place. Wonderful experience great wine list.

Wow, maybe I should have waited a few more years to open this beauty. The components are almost perfectly aligned now, and seem to come together better and better as the bottle goes down. Maybe this wants more than one hour of decanting.
