About as silky and perfumed as Vougeot gets.

Lots of power. Dark cherry and roasted meat notes. Slightly firm.

Quite nice if a bit simple and straightforward. Lacked a certain gravitas that Grand Cru should have. Good intensity, solid depth, good finish.

One of my favorite producers, Anne Gros. This 2001 Clos Vougeot was singing with cardamom, dried thyme but overall it sings of pristine red cherry and raspberry fruit that is intense yet focused.

Raspberry, eucalyptus, mushroom, vanilla, perfume, minerality, rose petals, potting soil, mocha, dried herbs-herbs de Provence. M+ acid, m body. M+ tannin. Minerality. Needs a little time.

2004 is frequently overlooked but never pass up Anne Gros. Always worth it
