La Combe d'Orveau Chambolle-Musigny Pinot Noir

Bright, pretty, perfume, seamlessly integrated oak. Peppermint note. Tight. Wildly complex.

Good wine. Not great given the lieu-dit and neighborhood. Freshness is wavering. Reminiscent of Cecile Tremblay ripeness and extraction. As the wine gets to room temp it's too ripe, hot & bothered, and arguably a kissing cousin to Gros Minervois.

This lovely village chambolle from this gifted wine maker is doing very well at the ages of 11-, it is still lively and delicious, deep Ruby with a hint of brown, nose of cassis, mushrooms, leather and earth with a touch of spicy cherries, medium to full body, mild round tannins and great acidity. A pleasant finish. A lovely wine. My score 88, drink to 2017

Minty, earthen and richly fruited. Silky

My second out of 6 bought a while ago. Tasting note holds firm. This one a bit more ready than the first I had, showing great elegance and finesse. Ruby with a touch of terra rosa, elegant and appealing nose of red fruits, Black Forest fruits and notes of smoke animality and a touch of barnyard, medium body with great acidity, firm yet smooth tannins, that mellow over time. Luxurious finish. My score 90, drink to 2024

After being open for 12 hrs this one began to show its great fruit core and structure.

2005, Suprisingly still close but already shows great elegance and finesse. Ruby with a touch of terra rosa, elegant and appealing nose of red fruits, Black Forest fruits and notes of smoke animality and a touch of barnyard, medium body with great acidity that will cary this one for a few more years, firm yet smooth tannins, that mellow over time. Luxurious finish. Well crafted and elegant. My score 90, drink to 2024

Oxidative.

Velvety. Bright cherry fruit. Very pretty!
