Les Fontanilles Minervois Grenache Blend

Seamless bundles of fruit. Blackberry and violet. Brambly, transparent, polished. Like a light and elegant CDP. Fantastic finish. This is on point.

An excellent red blend, dark ruby coloured, full-bodied, fruit driven, nose is reminiscent of a barnyard, surrounded by the vegetal native French garrigue with hints of smoke and dark fruit. Paired with streak frites.

Little thick and ripe for me, but still solid. Super reliable producer.

Not something I normally reach for, but fun to drink and explore.

Nice Minervois, though not as good as the 2012.

Quite tasty, dark fruit, spice and minerality. I would like to see how this ages.

"Elegant" and "polished" are not terms I ordinarily associate with Minervois. Clearly the work of a Burgundian. More funk, please, and more garrigue.

funky nose, almost dirty. palate very interesting, juicy and tasty.
