100% Syrah with a medium ruby hue and medium(+) aromas and flavors that emerge from the glass with a balance of ripe cherry, red plum, blackberry, blackcurrant, blueberry, boysenberry next to violet, black peppercorn, cured meat, smoke, cedar, sandalwood, vanilla, clove, nutmeg and cardamom.
This wine has complexity for days with fine-grained, integrated tannins, high alcohol (14%), a round mouthfeel, and lingering finish.
An excellent pairing with ribeye on the grill (marinated in olive oil, garlic, rosemary, and aged balsamic). So delish.

Feb 27th, 2023Excellent Syrah, although still a little too young to open. Elegant and generally smooth, but the tannins in the finish were a tad harsh. Likely this wine will improve immensely with age.

Dark, fleshy, deep and animal. Fresh red fruits and already almost in place, but obviously too young. Big aging potential to taste in 5 years. Potential 9,5.
Noir, charnu, profond et animal. Fruits rouges frais et déjà presque en place, mais encore évidemment trop jeune. Gros potentiel de garde à goûter dans 5 ans. Potentiel 4,5

Sweet, rich, slightly jammy. Black fruit galore, with a savoury, meaty, irony-bloody side to it. A tiny pinch of spice,
Elegant, rounded, juicy tannins retaining freshness. Good depth and a savoury edge which makes this so food friendly.
