Had with oysters and clams. Perfect match. Crisp dry compliment.

Sharp, crisp profile. Green apples, medium to full body. Delicious sauvignon blanc.

Meh. More BDX blanc than sancerre, with a midpalate fatness that suggests semillon. Nose is good though.

Nice nose: gooseberry, grapefruit, ripe melon. On the palate, ok acidity, somewhat blowsy and flat, with some heat on the spicy finish.

Textbook Sancerre, with passion fruits and pineapple and cat piss on the nose : very appealing. The palate is rather on the length than on the width. Lemon and exotic fruits with a sheer acid backbone. Refreshing finish with a nice touch of white fruits. Delivers what is expected.

There isn't, but if there were an equivalent AOC for Sancerre (such as Petit Chablis) this Sancerre would be it. Way too light on its feet to be taken seriously. But, as a Sancerre to splash about in the glass...go for it.

Varietal: Sauvignon
Vineyard age: 25 years in average
Terroir: Calcareous clay soil, known as "terres blanches"
Tasting notes: Delicious as an aperitif! The white Sancerre goes beautifully with seafood and shellfish. (the best match is with the local goat cheese)
