Starts tight with hints of black olive, plum, and lingering aftertaste of bacon fat. As it opens up, notes of cherry and more fruit forward. Really tasty for a low price point!

Domain d'Andezon's Côtes du Rhône is crafted from a blend of 40 year-old Syrah vines and 60 year-old Grenache vines grown in the arid and galet-laden Southern Rhône. Unfiltered, it's inky and hunkered with slightly rustic notes of black olive tapenade, dried pen ink, loamy soil overlaid by juicy boysenberries. In the mouth, there is an equal degree of intensity, shored up by dusty tannins and brooding, earthy notes. For $12.99, it's a great value, I've always liked this wine, though admittedly 2013 is not what I'd regard as a top vintage. 14.5% ABV | Sample

Quite typical of th Solomon portfolio. Juicy, ripe, fruit forward - soft and supple on the the palate. Gulpable! Just the ticket for tonight's smoked spare ribs.

Nice tanins, a bit too acidic, but a pleasant full bodied Cotes du Rhône.

Drank after a long engagement and nothing could have been better. I wish I remembered what it actually tasted liked even half as well as I remember how much I loved drinking it at that moment.

Interesting flavors I'm not used too. Reminds me of lambic beer. Funky. Musty. Some off flavors too like bile. Not my favorite.
