Tiny amount of bubbles. Tawny colored. Dried apricot, butterscotch, tea, biscuits. Nice tension and some mellowed acidity. Showing its age but classy.

Gorgeous soft peach and delicate toffee and resolved lemon. Hints of coffee and toast. A very good bottle in great condition. Still good gentle fizz. Everything great old champagne can be. Haunting secondary fruit and really stunning.

The color of an old rose. Almost no bubbles, with a very gentle and lush nose with hints of rose, peach, subtle dried orange rind. The bubbles are more a tingltme than a thing. A rather subtle gorgeous still wine but certainly on the downslope.

Honeyed Amber color. Still some fizz. Butterscotch and vanilla notes. Almost scotch like. A real treat.

My first 'old' Champagne: no fizz, just some vague tingling. Mild oxidation, sauteed pineapple, caramel, hint of salivating sweetness, really complex and deep. Pretty impressive what chardonnay can do!
