Consumed a few nights ago so it’s foggy. But as I recall, I think we (@Caroline Graham and I) both kinda liked it. Lol

At restaurant La Torretta Chianciano in the hills of Tuscany. This is a spa town with some therapeutic springs. Wine list €16 price was an acceptable wine at this price point. Made our own tasting menu...some hits and some misses.

A Sangiovese clone that I really like. Made by Caparzo. Lighter and more fruit forward than a chianti Classico. Black cherry and blackberry with a smooth finish. Enjoyable bottle of wine.

Fruit forward with some smoke and bbq to it. Nice weight and lacking a long finish but none the less, satisfying

Smoke oak and tannin in a light bodied wine. Brunello without the backbone. Which is important to brunello. Nonetheless, yum!

Full bodied, complex, some tannins that taper off, amazing long lasting finish of tobacco, chocolate, hints of leather.
