Burgundian in style but lacking weight and texture. Reminiscent of Chassagne but not totally integrated. Reductive nose. Burnt match. Still a classy, easy drinking Chardonnay.

Well balanced Pinot from this excellent Marlborough producer. 2017 is a tricky year but still very well balanced for a NZ Pinot. Earthiness is balanced with the cherry fruit which reminds me of an Prince Edward county Pinot. Bought it at the winery (the family owned viticulteurs are awesome hosts, I highly recommend to book a tasting) shame they haven’t released the awesome 2019 vintage. One of the nicest Pinot from Marlborough and it is wired to drink in a camp site! 😂. 😢 where is my cheese plate?
