Dinavolo
Vina da Tavola Ortrugo Blend
The best orange wine I’ve had and nearly a decade old to boot! Blood orange in color and quite hazy with lots of sediment in the last glass. Beautifully broad with a hint of oxidization on top of layers of blood orange, fleshy apricot, earth, and a bit of tannin. Extremely approachable and really complex.

Dec 12th, 2017Wow so much delicious! Tasting the big brother to the dinavolino from previous. This one is higher altitude, which shows in the complexity of the flavours; burnt orange zest, roasted hazelnuts, medium tannins, high acidity.

Mar 8th, 2016Deep copper color, likely long long maceration and/or open fermentation (?). Remarkable layering. Bitter almond attack, fabulously interesting and not for mainstream. 30EUR at All You Need is Wine (Ile St Louis)
