A 2010 vintage from Greg Brewer's uber-cool experiment called Diatom, this is a singular expression of Chardonnay. Fermented at ~40-45 F over a multi-month period (to supress malolactic fermentation), this wine has incredible intensity, flavor, and a vibrant acidity even after 5 years in the cellar. 2010 must have been a cooler vintage based on the alcohol % (only 13.5). I've had these wines up to 16% and they are all beautifully balanced. Sadly, 2011 is the last vintage Greg did of this wine, so enjoy it while you can!
