This is aging so well. And what a great value. Tastes like a hypothetical blend of a 1970s Napa Cab, with focused cassis and a lifted note of something like eucalyptus, along with the spicy blackberry of a Zin, with some nice gravelly notes. Soft, intense, balanced, nice acids.

This is a rowdy wine. Bright, rich dark berry juice nose with cracked stone notes and warm yeasty, mossy undertones. Dark, minerally, and boisterous flavors, featuring dark berry skins, a bit of raw woodiness, aggressive acids. Maybe needs a bit of time to age out of puberty and calm down, but doesn't skimp on character. Great with my Italian version of arroz con pollo.

Big, dark, thick red, really unlike the Portuguese reds I’ve had. Great with big flavor meats or sauces.
