Les Bouchères Meursault 1er Cru Chardonnay

Expressive, elegant, refined 100% Chardonnay shows purity of essence!
5-20% of wine is aged 1yr in lightly toasted Allier casks, then 4-6months in SS.

Intense amber color, golden glitters.
Refined nose of cantaloupe, meadow flowers, fresh salinity, citrus peels. Amplified by soaked apples after 20min of aeration.
Mineral, elegant, mellow palate of medium+ body. Finely balanced acidity. Vanilla, mango, white cherry, white raspberry, pineapple.
Persistent finish of soaked apple & pineapple.
Pair: quails salad.

This is naughty. Little shallow on the mid palate. Smells so sexy I'd buy just for that.

Honeyed spice. Lovely. Served too cold. Now emerging

Starting to show ox, unfortunately. Drinkable but not at the level it should be.

Tasty mineral & lemon laden palate slap. '07 Burgs keep showing how early vintage ratings can be wrong.

Very approachable, still young and vibrant.

Delicious apple vanilla deep golden color and great body. Perfect w octopus pastrami.

Took several hours to open. Last sips turned out to be the best, still, not as exuberant as I hoped for.

Pretty but takes a while to open and even then it's very shy. Definitely meursault though.

Paired with arugula salad + crab cake
