Last night in Park City. It’s been a wonderful week! Being able to eat every meal outside has been a welcome change from the 110degree TX heat.
A top shelf, Napa royalty, cab franc. My first Detert was a year and a half ago courtesy of @Carl Fischer (another fellow CabFranc lover) and I’ve been impressed ever since. This balances the overripe/green noted fence well. The nose alone is the highlight. Smoke, sweet baking spice, licorice and leather. This is in a prime drinking window with smooth tannic integration and acidity to carry it through the finish. The finish has added some clove, herb (not green though) and blackberries as it has shed its baby fat. Will cruise for a few more years easily. Fantastic.

Aug 4th, 2018I have had this before and enjoyed it much more previously. There was an acrid tanginess that I couldn't get past, but most everyone else in the group really liked it.
