Very rich but balanced. Lots of yellow fruit (including peach) on the nose, with deep mineral notes underneath. Almost a honeyed marzipan thing too. Mouthfilling. Big fruit, plump even, but dry and clean, with chalky minerality and great purity in the finish. Decent enough acidity. A little atypical but delicious.

Pommier destroyed 13. Every wine is pitch perfect. This is their "Grand Cru" and always is a step above the other 1er Crus. Nose of seashells, lemon zest, minerals and a sense of funk and richness. Palate has terrific acidity given the vintage and lovely lemon/lime zesty and rich fruit. Balanced and pure with great concentration. So juicy. Terrific poise and length.

1er cru fourcharme. A wine of pure pleasure. Very fruity. A tad tropical. Very rich. Still balanced. Juicy. Very well made. Wow. Pommier rocks.

As soon as you pour this wine it just emanates and stanks up the immediate area you are in. It is at once opulent and chiseled. There is green apple, ripe pear, smokiness, dazzling seashell minerality and a sense of richness on the nose that cannot be expressed verbally. When you smell it just seems rich but it is also so utterly classically Chablis. It keeps you there. That juxtaposition is what makes this wine so special. As it aerates the seashell minerality overtakes and the opulence is rendered in the background. No Chablis is free from the shellacking of these Kimmeridgian soils. The palate does not let down, it exites and scintillates in a way that is so utterly Chablis yet also so utterly Pommier. It is juicy, as '14 throws down the juicy, complex and has an amazing texture that is unique to the Pommier wines. The sizzle is there as expected but there is also a Demi Glacé on that sizzle which makes it so captivating. It stays and coats your mouth for minutes after.

Big, airy and fat with terrific volume on the nose. So much. Terrific intensity and great minerality. 30% old barrels. So complex already. Wow. Terrific purity. Lovely persistence and echoing finish.

Really ripe and delicious now. Tropical. If you like that style of Chablis this rocks.

Pale silvery color, some effervescence. More creaminess on the nose than I would expect. Lemon/like, tart and refreshing with some effervescence evident in the mouth. Medium finish. From Hudson wine merchants
