Oct 7th, 2014Jan 2024: 1 hour aeration is a must, afterwards - a nice classic Barolo from La Morra, not on the power side but rather on balance and approachability

Jan 13th, 2024Shy nose, a little greenish, somewhat typical of nebbiolo. Thick, round and juicy palate. Super generous in aromas and length.

Feb 15th, 2017Wow. Very balanced. Fruit forward, with classic piedmont grape characteristics. Light tannins. One of my favorite varietals

May 28th, 2016Not going to rate this as the bottle may have been a dud. It’s my only bottle of this vintage so nothing to compare to. On opening it had a funky aroma and taste on the palate. Not the obvious oxidation skunkimess but a hint of it. After several hours much of the funk blew off to reveal a dense fruity Barolo on the easy drinkability side. A day later it remained pretty much the same. I wish I had another bottle to compare to. I’ve enjoyed other wines from Demarie.
