It has arrived. 🥳 Clearly a wine that takes it years to mature. Over the time I tasted a few bottles, but this one made my day. Had a nice cheesy pizza with. Pottery red-brown transparant. Light cherry, red fruits, some roses, herby, forest hummus, still a small sweet hint. Silk smooth tanine with Italian acidity. Still a few more to try, but also a nice one to pick next time we visit this very nice and friendly family.

I know it is Tuesday evening but I wanted to try this 2016 Deltetto Clone 777 Langhe Pinot Nero. I had picked this up about a week ago and had a taste for a pinot noir or nero tonight. An Italian pinot noir from the Langhe of Piedmont.

On the nose there is mutes notes of cherry, strawberry, raspberry, rose petals, sassafras and dusty soil.

On the palate I have notes of cherry, cranberry, raspberry, clove, licorice, wet leaves and dried summer soil.

This wine is medium bodied with medium to + acidity and medium + mouth coating grippy tannins that lead right into a medium to long pleasing finish. Be self assured that tomorrow brings the middle of the week and the long weekend be upon us. Stay safe and enjoy the slide unto a fine weekend. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Nose not really Pinot; 777 dark fruit flashes Cote de Nuits; fairly complex and enough nice tannins to develop over next 5+ years

Variety 777 for the lucky number. Fruits, cherries rasberry. Herby bayleaf rosmary. Still some tanine, interesting acids.
