From my birth year 1961 - gift from a dear friend - intriguing mix of wood, cigar & alcohol - one to savour over a few years I think!

My rating is for the 25 year bottling. An interesting copper color. Powerful nose of oak, caramel, and custard. On the palate caramel, vanilla, oak, spice and custard with a hint of lemon and bread dough. The finish is long acid, more caramel and oak. Fabulous and dangerously smooth.

Birth year Armagnac! Gougeous nose of vanilla, cinnamon, raisin, allspice. Mouthfeel is amazing, thick but fluid with a lot of spices, vanilla, melted butter, dried unsweeted apricots. Lingering flavors of raisins with brown sugar and Honey. Fantastic. Can't wait to drink this over the years!

1978 vintage. Buttery smooth. Easy slight vanilla. Gentle toasted flavor going on. Really fantastic. Gets sweeter with air exposure.

Easier on the vanilla, touch of cereal, faint bit of salt, smooth, a bit floral on the end. 91 vintage. Really really nice.
