The Bullet Dodger Montepulciano

Jaybird Orange. Good, not as funky as I thought it would be.

Interesting take on this varietal. Not too shabby

Deep purple color. Serve slightly chilled.

Nose: wet stone, cranberries, vanilla, makes mouth water slightly. Taste: full on the palate, dark cherry, black currant, great acid on the finish. Amazing wine!

Funky velvet. Slightly spicy start delicate funky fruity finish, lots of tannins.

Maybe its reductive winemaking taken to its oological conclusion, maybe its a one-off bottle that fell particularly ill during the transoceanic journey under screwcap. Either way, I have never encountered more H2S in a finished wine in my life. After a violent triple decant, a pretty wine began to show. I'm going to try another, because I think I would love this wine if this was just an isolated stinker. 🥚😤

Bright & juicy, could use a quick chill. Great with food at Petite Leon.

A bit of purple mixed in with a lot of red. Red cherries, autumn leaves, and allspice on the nose. Ripe, shiitake mushrooms,dried figs, lingonberry. Medium finish, low acid and tannins with a bit of tobacco at the end. Really different expression of the grape, lighter than an old world montepulciano, and gives it an aspect of drinkability.

Medium purple, medium+ density, huge nose, black current, black fruit, medium+ acid. Australia 13.2%
