Densely loaded and tightly wound right now, the 2016 ‘Harrison Hill’ is a monstrous beast of a Cabernet that needs more than a two hour decant to unwind. Once aroused this leads on beautiful layers of dark fruits, mocha, Creme de cassis and lighter herbal tones. With medium tannins, this has a long life ahead of it. Drink 2020-2040- 95

A lot of fun! Some brett, and definitely missing a little acidity and tannin. Still, a nice experience.

A nicely aged wine at its pinnacle. Smooth, integrated tannins with dark fruit and leather. Good acidity but still pleasing without food. Some whisps of smoke on the backend.

Cheers to this amazing American Bordeaux red blend! 58% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot. You can feel the red black fruits in the palate commingling with the vanilla, cinamon and toasty okay flavors. Bright acidity. A really great expression of a Bordeaux red blend! Salud! 🍷
