Delas Frères
Sainte-Épine Saint-Joseph Syrah
Savory, smoky, and meaty with 30 minutes of air. Lots of baking spice and a hint of licorice. Nice tannin and some spiced red fruit. Would’ve called Rioja in a blind.

Feb 26th, 2017True to site, missing some snap and punch, could be 2009's tendency for ripeness or the producers more modern hand in making it...either way pretty good.

Jul 22nd, 2023Dense dark fruit with smoke, blackberry, black current. Tannins are still quite grippy, but work great in the whole balance.

Apr 3rd, 2022Just starting to drink well and should improve and hold steady for the next decade. Is St. Joseph the Gigondas the Northern Rhone? A little under the radar, can deliver tremendous pleasure and value and at the same time, can be frustratingly inconsistent.

Dec 25th, 202016/20 (89/100) Первый нос открывается ароматами цветов и вишневого сиропа, затем уходит в сливовый джем и кожу. Довольно высокая кислотность, бархатистые танины. К сожалению, во вкусе заметна «летучка».
