Call me shallow, but a Delamotte never seems to excite when brought to the table. Maybe it's the label and bottle - so plain and generic. But f*** me, it wiped the floor with the 06' Krug this time! So delicious and elegant. It's no accident that this was the first bottle empty. On the nose, notes of white stone fruits and chalk prevailed over the yeasty, nutyy elements. Vinous and balanced on the palate - rich lemon curd and cream contrasted the lively citrus zing and salty finish. Would have been nice to know the base vintage and disgorgement date though - does anyone know where it's printed on the bottle? Couldn't find any indication anywhere.

Ordered off the Sazon list in Santa Fe. Great color, vibrant and active in the glass. Nice nose and pleasant mouth feel with a creamy mousse.

Stupid good and screaming deal. Great delicacy and perfume, nice mineral core and acid profile. Exuberantly peachy, ripe citrus, spice, crushed chalk, a kiss of honey richness.
