Light golden color with crisp stone fruit aromas with a nutty fragrance. On the palate peaches, pears and apricots with a touch of honey, complex but not overpowering. Nice vivid acidity and Burgundian minerality was present. Lingering finish with a smoky/toasty oak gave warmth on the ending. A classic Russian River Chardonnay.

Jun 18th, 2016Always a favorite. Like a massage at the proper vigor, deep, but not too deep in the fruit, the show stopping aspect of this Chardonnay is the forceful presence of oak that cascades and drifts off as soon as it came. It's acidity makes the wine serious not just flashy oak. More please.
