A crucial year for the vision of this chilean winery, when the gastronomical, oxidative, low-alcohol approach of winemaker Marcelo Retamal finally took off.
70 y.o. dry-farmed, early picked Malbec from the remarkable Limávida property.

Flavor packs a punch, dry but good mouthfeel, currants, blackberries, rich earth! So yumz and can lay down for many more years!

Really delicious birthday wine. Silky and lush with some floral qualities but heaps of cherry and a little streak of burger grease to keep it interesting

Not a huge fan. Very fruit forward with cherry and raspberry flavors. Really unpleasant citrus presence. Might be better in 5 years. 8.2
.
Revisiting in December 2017 and enjoying a lot more. Still leads with bright cherry, but this bottle has much improved structure. Hints of cedar and pine add complexity. Much better.
