Surprisingly complete: a deeper, more detailed version of what essentially is a de classified Barbaresco,at least according to the importers rep at a wine tasting. Tangy black fruits, wild raspberries, a deeper note of creosote. Not disjointed or crazy tannic as some notes suggest; imagine its accessibility now suggests it still needs to be drunk young.

Impromptu dinner at Buvette with Holly. They had veal osso bucco on the menu so we went for this lovely Langhe Nebbiolo from De Forville. On the pop and pour, the tannin is mouth puckering but after about 20-30min of air, the tannins relax their grip a bit and this opens up for business. The fruit is fresh and pure; red and black fruits with some tar and minerals. Satisfyingly delicious and worked so well with the meal. Killer QPR for under $30.

Improves after 30 min in the glass but not up to par to its peers. Nice orange zest and bitter chocolate nose but doesn't justify the price tag for Langhe Nebb
