Tannic. Less giving than I expected. But aromatic and high acidity.

Impromptu dinner at Buvette with Holly. They had veal osso bucco on the menu so we went for this lovely Langhe Nebbiolo from De Forville. On the pop and pour, the tannin is mouth puckering but after about 20-30min of air, the tannins relax their grip a bit and this opens up for business. The fruit is fresh and pure; red and black fruits with some tar and minerals. Satisfyingly delicious and worked so well with the meal. Killer QPR for under $30.

Powerful tannins. Leather, rose, red berry, clay. Opens up well after lengthy decanting.

Wet Rose, dark lilac aromas. The 2013 vintage is way more drinkable. This wine is still very young but shows great potential.

Improves after 30 min in the glass but not up to par to its peers. Nice orange zest and bitter chocolate nose but doesn't justify the price tag for Langhe Nebb

Super intriguing aroma... it took me a few minutes to even comprehend what was wafting from the glass... tangy, zesty, spicy... ORANGES. This wine smells like fresh squeezed juice with a ton of Italian herbs backing up the zest. The palate has some powerful tannins balanced against bright acid. Tremendous.
