Brut Crémant de Loire Cabernet Franc Rosé

strawberries, cranberries, roses, stone fruits, mint and bell pepper notes

First days glass had a lot of SO2, nothing like a little burn in the nose. Also had some Franc funk once it warmed up (100%Cab Franc) The second day was much better. Have this (the second day) with a brunch or lunch and you'll enjoy it. Nice balance and clean finish.

Nose is red flowers namely roses with some underlying spice, green bell pepper and mint.. A bit challenged on the aroma.

Palate has some strawberries and earthiness up front with some ripe orange and a mixture of sweetness and acidity mid way through. Finish has some subtle sweet bell pepper flavor, but overall definitely dry.

Fun, interesting little sparkler. Has some interesting food pairing potential.

Great picnic wine. Had it by lake Merritt with Richie on a chill Thursday
