Saint Helena Petite Sirah

Chocolate, dark blue fruit, subtle spice aromas. Heavy legs, inky purple. Delicious PS wine. Yum yum yum.

A well built Petite Syrah with firm but approachable tannin. Good complexity, but nothing terribly special.

Delicious and rich, but not the best of the day.

So. Damn. Good. Could have gone another 15 years without breaking a sweat. Plums, cherries, milk chocolate and some leather notes that lets me know it is actually evolving and hasn’t just been in stasis from the moment it was bottled. Very impressive and wish I had another.

What was once majestic, This vintage has turned slightly by 2020. Gets better with letting it breath, but still “thin”.

Full bodied, luscious, light spice. Went so well with spicy Indian butter chicken. This vintage was great in late 2020.

Rich & full bodied with notes of berry & black pepper. Landslide winner of the night in our wine club. Nov 2, 2019
