Without doubt, for the loot, Duband is my favorite producer in Burgundy.
This has relaxed and is now ready to drink. Subtly, elegance and grace define the core characteristics of this superb pinot.
The nose is understated, but still presents cedar, smoke and ripe cherries. Great, structured mid palate. Tannins are still prominent. Cinnamon notes and vibrant acidity bring home the excellent finish. This still needs more time in the bottle, and I predict further improvement in the long run.

As tight as a ducks ass, and that’s watertight!
Not a pop n pour. Needs a few more years, but great already..,

One of the best pinots I have tasted in the last 12 months.

It adopts a crystalline appearance in the glass. The nose is delicate and restrained with pomegranate, raspberries, cola and cinnamon.

It's profile on the palette is seductive and concentrated. Oak is pushed into the background so that the primary notes of cherries, plums and strawberries come to the fore. Not overly extracted, with polished tannins. Good acidity, with just enough tension.

This has runway ahead of it. A truly outstanding example which represents the varietal perfectly.

Dark with some plum but still the acid to make thus soooo drinkable. Muscular in a great way.
