From before Duband became more traditional and this shows all the fruit from 2005 but with some finesse and balance.

Usually like this bottling of Duband but either my 2017 bottles to date are all flawed, closed or not up to standard of 2015 and 2016 for the HCDN. Some red fruit and flowers but with 17 being a ripe vintage expected Duband’s style to have more verve and fresh fruit. Tasted two bottles at different times and each over a two days. Enough ranting.

First time we had this cuvee. Very much in the style of Duband with flowers red fruits and polished tannins in a medium length and very satisfying wine. Really good now but deserves 3 to 5 years in the cellar.

Raspberry, light cedar, oyster sauce, vanilla spices. Amazing

Pinot night tonight and this second one was a dud compared to the Oregon Pinot. New country won! Rather flat, not much depth and single note. Unbalanced. Difficult to even finish one glass.
