Petite Sirah , Syrah , Zinfandel blend 2014 a very good year. Also 91 rating in RP Wine Advocate.. Tried at DAOU dinner at Chophouse with Monday Night Wine Group. Pretty impressive. Reminds me of The Prisoner at half the price.

A blend of 37% Syrah, 27% Zinfandel, 31% Petite Sirah and 5% Tannat. Very dark enticing color with sweet dark fruit aromas with forward spicy oak. On the palate cherry and blackberry with pepper , some leather notes and sweet cacao. Well balanced with approachable tannins, lingering with vanilla oak notes on ending. Great value.

Stylistically not my fav. However, it's good quality and hits the mark it is shooting at. I.E. The Prisoner.

2015 vintage doesn't integrate as easily as the'14. Still, it's a powerful blend, and the best of Daou mountain is on display.
