That 2014 magic again. Lovely somewhat restrained nose of Apple, ripe pear, light oak, huge minerals, and some florals. Wow, what a palate. Stuffed yet so pure, elegant and dynamic. Dazzlingly pure and wonderful textures. Stunning mouthfeel. What poise. Sick wine. Great acids and so so juicy.

Study day part 1. Daniel Barraud visited Amsterdam and brought a wide range of cuvées and vintages. All of his wines are made around Vergisson, in the north of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation, according to biodynamic principles. The whole range of Barraud whites is characterized by a clear style, precision, perfect balance, sparkling lightness, translucent weight, herbal nuances and a pure expression of Chardonnay. I was impressed by all of his wines! Especially this one. A wine from the steep Les Crays vineyard. Right on the plateau of the 'Roche de Vergisson' with a sunny southern exposure and a rocky soil.

Captivating bouquet of citrus/honey and some oak (20% new oak is used). Very wel balanced on the palette, refreshing acidity and persistent minerals on the finish. Focused.
