Some wines are ageless in my memory palate, like this one: balanced, clean notes of lemon compote, fennel, & light green veggies like raw squash. Viura grape. For less than 11$ one of the great QPRs. The relatively new offering based on this with the old school blend with sherry is a profoundly different wine, catapulting it into Lopez territory.

1 person found it helpfulJun 2nd, 2019100% Viura white Rioja. Bright light yellow color. Aromas of orchard fruit, white flowers and citrus. Flavors of green apple and pear fruit, lemon zest, pineapple and a hint of banana peel. Touch of both salinity and minerality on the medium (and slightly creamy) finish. Low acidity and a bit flabby. Medium bodied. Fresh and clean with a smooth texture. May improve with some additional bottle age.
