Perfect Paella wine! Of course.

Nice Rioja. Smooth for such a young wine. Even better at a flamenco show in Madrid.

Raspberry, baking spice / cinnamon, slight iron.

Bright and juicy yet dense on the palate. The finish is soft with sweet barrel spice. A nice wine but I'll take the Lesmos every time over this...

Smooth and fruity, easy to drink. Not much character.

Fruity, thin, weak. A bit like Pee Wee Herman - better pedigree though

Most part Tempranillo, full bodied and spicy. Over 12 months on oak.

Very sweet on the nose with cinnamon and nutmeg. Needs to breath. Subtle but tight tannins. Quick release but smooth.

Very mild and smooth wine. Nice to have around for when you don't want to uncork the fancy stuff

Welcome to Friday and I am starting the weekend off with this 2015 Cune Rioja Rosado. This wine is 100% Tempranillo and as you can tell by the picture is a beautiful red color that tells us that the skins were left on for an extended period of time to give it a more richer red than most roses.

On the nose there are notes of red fruit, cherry, strawberry, red raspberry, watermelon, nice Floral notes and a minerality.

The palate shows us there is tart cherry, under ripe strawberry, red currant, rhubarb, and some peach.

The wine has a juicy full-bodied mouthfeel with a medium + acidity that helps with the refreshing overall feeling that is very enjoyable.
