Elegant, soft and silky even at 16%! Big wine, an inky bastard. Toasty fig, dark berry, wild herbs. Steakhouse wine. Streamlined tannin. Explosive finish. Great stuff.

A fine and rather elegant Malbec blend from the owners of chateau Leoville. I understand they use Alliers oak barrels and yet this wine stills hits a nice price point. Nice balance in this bottle.

The ripe black fruit core is lifted by perfumed nose and lively acidity. Silky palate with fine grained tannins, but 15.7% abv does make its present felt on the long finish.
Quite a good value for what is considered the flagship wine by the winery.
