Never had this grape before. It definitely has plum on the nose. Very fruit forward at first then a little more tannic and oaky after a short decant (because I couldn’t wait) but still very fruity! Very smooth going down. Can’t wait to pair with dinner.

Dark, glass-clinging red purple with magenta highlights. Brambly red fruit on the abundant, slightly hot nose. Medium full palate of brambly red plum. Medium plus tannins and juicy, medium plus acidity. Once Argentina’s most widely planted grape, this Bonarda makes for a good, dark alternative to Malbec for fans of Mendoza. Just enough fruit and dark earthiness to make a wonderfully food-friendly red for the dinner table or backyard grill. Drink now through 2023.

Started strong with medium acidity, some tannin, and prominent minerality. However, it turned pretty quickly upon opening and became pretty flimsy. :/

Crimson and dark lightening to magenta at the surface.
The nose is rich and round, reminding me of flaky pastries; echos of oak are heavily present. The similaries to Malbec seem clear.

However, surprising acidity contrasts and lifts a plummy richness accumulating in a medium to long finish.
The initial flavor upon each sip is striking and lays itself out on the plate in a thick carpet.

Wonderful light Prosecco like wine. Nose like champagne with hints of mushroom and truffle. Flavor is light and refreshing. Not too sweet. Wonderful well balanced wine.

Not bad, not a deep red but paired well with pork.
