Some recent Friday bottles...

Talk about unique. This is from the same winemaker of Ultramarine, but is sourced entirely from Alder Springs vineyard. A lot of fruit up front...seemed slightly carbonic. Very gummy with lots of red fruits and apple-juice driven sweetness. Entry is more floral and white peach like before it takes a decidedly biscuity/almond wafer type finish. Definitely some sweetness to this compared to Ultramarine’s near zero dosage type profile. Very fun to try. Thanks
@Weston Eidson .

Very Anderson Valley. Sweeter than Ultramarine; reminded me of Lichen sparkling.

Superb! Red apples and cherries lead the way with a touch of bruised apple. There is a slight baker’s confectionery note but there is no yeast or breadiness. The texture is creamy but this finishes crisply and mostly dry. Is there anyone making better sparkling wines in the US than Michael Cruse? Fantastic with red curry soup

I dunno... I think I love this more than ultramarine. Has better acid, that flintyness, and balance.

A great way to end Lent - fried chicken paired with a sparkler from Michael Cruse. Grapefruit, plus a touch of apple and pear compliment a soft moussey mouthfeel. Thanks to @Jasmine Hirsch for encouraging me to open one of these bottles. Delicious!
