Cruse Wine Co.
Rorick Vineyard Muscat
Easy drinking. Structured enough to pair well with seafood. Drank with crawfish pasta in New Orleans.

May 20th, 2021Very floral, aromatic, jasmine? This is stellar.

Apr 25th, 2021Such a standout of 2020, I broke my rule and bought it twice. Aromatically gifted Muscat of orange zest and wild flowers and passion fruit creme brule. Beautifully textured fatty profile with a sturdy spine.
Same score as first go round.

Really interesting wine. Great floral nose, orange and orange blossom. Rich flavor but not sweet. Not for the meal, for the in between cheese course before the sweet course. Or just when it can be considered.

Jan 29th, 2021May I introduce you to the skills of professional wine person, Michael Cruse. He’s a wizard - people think of him first for his sparkling, but this deeply complex bone dry Muscat from the Rorick vineyard makes it’s way into five total freaking barrels and he’s selling it for about $29. This is an underpriced very good buy.
Ambitious, big, intense, and if you find some fault here I’d love to know what it is. Unfiltered colors of pale hay. Your first impression is definitely lychee, then peach, tangerine, vanilla oak.
