Dusty and dried cherry tingles the nostrils

Heavy weight, cranberry purée, pomegranate, Thai basil, mojito mint, rustic mouthfeel with dried citrus acidity, and gripping, yet well involved tannins.

Nice GSM from the Southern Rhône. Layers of red fruit. Grippy tannins. Makes me hungry for a steak.

Stack a case away and revisit early to mid-'20s. Even as a youthful brat this is terrific Gigondas. 80% Grenache; 10% Syrah; 10% Mourvèdre. At a shattering 14.5% ALC there's not a note of heat. It's an awkward swallow on the backend--tannins a tad aggressive--but time will ameliorate that current drinking minor flaw. No patience for cellaring? No problem. A blackened T-Bone or blackened fish...YES! To hell with $90 CdP. Shell out $25 and walk away a winner.
