This was terrific. Pretty nose of rose petal and crushed rock. Great acid and balance on the palate with classic light berry flavors.

The Louise Vineyard was the first vineyard planted by Cristom, and consists of 9-acres of Pinot Noir vines planted with Dijon clones 113, 114, 115, 777 and Pommard. The 2016 is simply fantastic, as it begins with beautiful aromatics of black tea and red currants that combine with forest floor and black truffle undertones that add wonderful complexity. The palate is plush and textured, showing wonderful combination of viscosity and tension as flavors of black fruits that connect with peat moss and black truffle oil. While already sinfully good, this stunning Pinot Noir shold continue to evolve beautifully over the next ten to fifteen years. Drink 2019-2034

Sipping Fine Wine

Been tasting the Cristom Pinots lately. Louise Vineyard is heavier than the others, deep red with a big bouquet of red fruit aromas and aromatic spices. On the palate, raspberry and blackberry flavors with cacao notes in a bright spice. The wine comes off very smooth, light acidity and lingers to an almost creamy finish, holding on to its fruit.

Bursting with baking spices. Silky soft texture. A favorite willamette producer.

Less fruitful than the Louise vnyd, but the florals were enticing! Fresh mushroom, rose petals, loamy minerals, & black cherry on the nose. Crescendo in flavor intensity on the pallet - dark raspberry, white pepper, Jasmine, and espresso. Beautiful acid, clean finish. Stunning wine that clearly stands above other Willamette.
