Crimson Ranch
California Cabernet Sauvignon
Color of light ruby with a touch of purple. Really light considering she is a Cab. Nose of cherry jam and berry, some spice, some rose, and some strength of alcohol. Taste is quite sweet, juice like, with some more acidity, oak, and spice. A bit off balance with too much sweetness and oak. A bit watery. Not a fan.

Oct 25th, 2022Sweet, juicy nose and very light, bright taste for a cab. Notes of tart cherry, and not quite ripe plum. Vanilla. Would love if it was a bit smokier but it's a decent weeknight wine.

Nov 30th, 2021Oak and sweetness. Bright fruits, pretty light body. A bit lighter than I'd expect from a cab, but not bad, especially considering it's rather warm today.

Apr 18th, 2021Ben says this wine is "incredibly approachable, but not complex. I would drink it again though! It's good."
I think this is very tasty and is 0% tanniny, which makes incredibly smooth and easy to drink. I agree that it isn't that complex but I'm not bothered by it. Would drink again.
Enjoyed with salmon, zucchini, and potatoes, which is probably a nontraditional pairing but our palettes are not refined enough for that to come into play.

May 29th, 2020Deep ruby color, with medium-high saturation. Aromas and flavors of blackberry, cherry, strawberry jam, cocoa, dark chocolate, oak, honey, and baking spice. Fruit-forward and jammy, with a warming, bittersweet finish on the palate. A smooth, satisfying, everyday wine.
