Complex, fresh, medium body, minerally, easy drinking. Another wine that gets underestimated. Biodynamic since ever, a site where the vines were already 150 years ago, Carmody replanted in mid-70s. A fifty bucks wine, in the end more than affordable🤘🏽

May 9th, 2016Very Northern Rhone on nose and palate. The white pepper trademark of Craiglee is tempered with age to be merely spicy. This is the complete antithesis of a Barossa or McLaren Vale blockbuster. Lacked some palate weight - more structured like a Pinot Noir. Some licorice notes. No need for further cellaring. 17.5+

Jan 19th, 2015Drinking very well 14 years after the vintage. Tertiary flavours coming through nicely but could easily go another few years before drinking. A top quality cellar-style shiraz.
