Sunbury Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

Lush and rich. Black and red fruits with a powdery finish. — 8 years ago

Craiglee

Sunbury Shiraz 2002

Very Northern Rhone on nose and palate. The white pepper trademark of Craiglee is tempered with age to be merely spicy. This is the complete antithesis of a Barossa or McLaren Vale blockbuster. Lacked some palate weight - more structured like a Pinot Noir. Some licorice notes. No need for further cellaring. 17.5+ — 9 years ago

This is great. Pairs well with a cheese plate. Bold notes but subtle enough to have by itself — 9 years ago

Bin No 1 Great Western Shiraz 2011

A challenging vintage in Oz except for the Hunter Valley and WA with plenty of rain around harvest. However this wine won one of the most coveted trophies on the Oz Show Circuit - the Jimmy Watson trophy for Best one year old dry red at the Melbourne RNA. Very Northern Rhone with white pepper and spice. Like a junior Mt Langhi or a Craiglee. Enough mid palate fruit for the complete package. 17.5. Tasted a 2nd bottle 7/9/15. Tasting notes as above. I love this style of wine. — 9 years ago

@TheSkip I like this style myself but if you like the ripe oaky styles like Mollydooker (which I like too) it may not have enough stuffing. At that price give it a go and see what you think.

Yarra Valley Syrah 2013

9.0

Second bracket of Cool Climate Shiraz! 2013 Luke Lambert Syrah intriguing texture and complex flavour profile, best value wine of the Day at $33. Well worth experimenting with a couple over time. Not the cheapest or most expensive just best bang for buck. Warramate also good value for $20 restrained, fun, nothing cerebral, great daily drinking $20. Craiglee a solid wine that felt a bit lost in the line up. Lacking the extra dimension. #Wine #FilthyGoodVino #Shiraz #CoolClimate #VictorianWine — 9 years ago

Sunbury Chardonnay 2011

Although 2011 was badly rated in Australia, this is great. Lovely balance of fruit, oak and minerals. It's not burgundy but a great and affordable Aussie chard! — 10 years ago
