Count Karolyi Private Cellars
Pannon Grüner Veltliner
Interesting gruner. More fruit driven than i'm used to, but still has that vegetal character that I'm accustomed to. Apple, peach, herbal, big minerality, great acid and a chalky finish. For the price, yum. Food? Yes please!

Jul 12th, 2016Very enjoyable. I tried this wine because we had really liked the Darcy Kent GV. Very good wine for the price, on the sweeter side, but not too sweet.

Dec 15th, 2016We saw this Hungarian Gruner Veltliner at Grocery Outlet and high hopes as we had such great experiences with Gruner in Austria. Sadly, this is about as good as its $4.99 price point--a little disappointing but pleasant enough. The nose is a little odd--a hint of petroleum, and apple--a bit better on the palate, and an acceptable pairing with our cedar-planked steelhead.

Jun 23rd, 2016Agreed with most reviews but it falls apart a bit at the end. Yet the price can't be beat.
