The most extracted and hottest chinon ive had. 15%abv, and its well integrated after it opens up a bit. The 05s are supposedly very ageworthy, the acid, tannins and extraction make me a believer in that. Glad a got a few. The nose is deep rich jammy black cherry and currants. Overwhelming dark chocolate and green bell pepper. The end of the nose is all tobacco and coffee. The palate is acidic and grippy. Bruised/overripe black plum and some tart black raspberries on the palate with a chocolate and herbaceous mid palate with a maple like finish. Very classic seeming and at a bargain. Thanks delectable!
