Etna Rosso Red Blend

Effusive red, medium bodied, spicy, flavorful fresh market mixed vegetables. This is a great wine nourished by the soil of dead Sicilians on the volcanic slopes of Mt. Etna whose decayed bodies are still furious about an eruption 500 years ago! Recommend with a seafood dish with capers and tomatoes

2021 opened Jan 2024. Berries and cardamom on the nose. Cherries on the front. Light tannic structure. Lots of flinty high notes start on the mid palate balanced with some cool minty low notes. Long tart finish. Yummy, but not exceptional.

Needs time to open up. Once open it’s nice but is a bit earthy for my taste.

Dinner in Italy! Had tortelli carbonara with black truffle.

Rubino intenso. Al naso frutto e cacao. In bocca è equlibrato, elegante ma sottile.
