Etna Rosso Red Blend

Somewhat smoky aroma. Like grilled plums or grilled figs. Rich on the palette. Vanilla and spices. Mild tannins. Went really well with salty fishy anchovy pizza. — 2 months ago

Feudo di Mezzo Etna Rosso 2014

Earth and ash—volcanic soil really comes through. Nice balance of fruit and acidity. Frank by itself but would really be enhanced with food. — 6 months ago

Etna Bianco Carricante 2018

Serious potential. Tasting at room temperature revealing virtually no flaws. Mineral tension pushed forward and lingering well through the finish. More than enough fruit to balance the mid palate. — 4 months ago

Calderara Etna Bianco Carricante 2016

Continuing the winery visit. A nobler contrada in terms of vine age and soil richness, this also sees a few months of oak (30% new), and presents a much richer profile accordingly. Yellower fruit and more minerality and brine than the base bianco. — 6 months ago
