This is the 2008 Corliss Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon we had on a special occasion with close friends. This is from Walla Walla, Washington made of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.
On the nose there is black cherry, blackberry, black currant, licorice, smokey campfire, vanilla, leather, black pepper, cocoa and dark earth.
On the palate there is black cherry, blackberry, spice, licorice, leather, violets, coffee, graphite and dark rich earth.
This wine is full bodied and well balanced with a silky smooth mouthfeel medium + to high acidity and medium + fine supple tannins that moves seamlessly into a long dark fruit graphite finish. Very distinct earthy note to the nose iron and fresh loamy notes to the rich concentrated currant and dark plum fruit fine herbs coffee and mocha notes. Fine silky tannins on the tongue big bit elegant and Avery fresh finish echoing the earth and spice notes from the nose through the finish. Finish 45+ excellent +
