Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
What a wonderful Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Showing black fruits with earth chocolates tobacco spices peppercorn earth leather light green vegetables herbs and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and nice legs. Smooth and elegant.
Needs 90 minutes to open up properly and show tannins. Spicy and delicate.
A little restraint for a Napa Cabernet in my opinion.
Long finish with firm tannins and tangy cranberries.
This 13 year old is drinking very nicely now.
A little vinaigrette on the nose but not on the palate.
Thank you Scott for sharing this wonderful wine with me.
13.8 % alcohol by volume.

Mar 10th, 2016Starting to show its secondary character here. Really elegant and loaded with fruit. There is an intriguing dampness to the wine that one would usually find in aged Médoc. This is undoubtedly California, but with echoes of Saint-Julien @Cathy Corison
