"Les Voisins" Yorkville Highlands Syrah

This is nice. Acidity balances out the fruit. Lots of dark plum, black and red cherry, licorice. Perfect w braised lamb

Cherry-pomegranate bacon swizzle, kiss of tar and Worschestershire, blackberry/black pepper suggestion. Skin of apple, poppyseed, brown spice. Full body but lean tannins and low intensity for CA Syrah, making this quite, quite nice, tres bien Merci ⭐️

Not your typical CA fruit bomb. Very well balanced.

Ugh. Heat damaged. Not what it should be. One of my last CA wines I brought to NZ.

Finessed, elegant, aromatic Syrah with a subtle yet undeniable power & fleshy red fruit. Texturally complex & bright with acidic structure.
